My One and Only Negative Review in Six Years

ok...I think it is safe to say this person...Sharon Cathcart...hated the book/me...I have never met her...never spoke with her...never reviewed anything she has written or borrowed from others while pretending she wrote it...yet she received a copy for free and spent one whole week telling the world why she could not read it...the book itself can be read in four hours...it is obvious from her review that she never read the actual story...just flipped thru pages and spit upon them...but since she took the time to write her review - - and post it everywhere the book is sold - - I think everyone should have the opportunity to read it so please travel over to http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/132456458 you will have to scroll down to read the entire review because she kept leaving new snippets everyday for a week...my book stayed in her head for a whole week...some powerful advertising there

Updating Status

While I still have yet to be invited inside any of the large publishing houses I am being read...it is a very difficult process when you decide to take it upon yourself...my book is now available on ALL online e-book stores...it has received many positive reviews and one very questionable negative review...I am going to post the reviews here in the hopes that someone may read them and decide they would like to read my book as well...to date it has sold almost 500 copies...not possible without the Internet...for all of you hoping to get yourself published here is some insight...book form will give you maybe .25 cents a book...ebooks will bring in app 8.99 a book depending on your price...there is money to be made in ebooks....do not let anyone tell you otherwise...oh an my book is also in the County library...go figure...well it seems I cannot copy and paste my reviews here so perhaps a link http://www.amazon.com/Where-the-Sun-Sets-ebook/product-reviews/B003NHSUR2/ref=sr_cr_hist_all?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1 ...so excited

Self-publishing

OK...I am now available in every form of e-book known to mankind...you can get me on Kindle, IPad, even Sony's e-reader...I have yet to sell one e-book...and I have been available thru Lulu for like four months at least and have only sold two books thru them and they were downloads to computers...my paperback was available on amazon but today it says no longer available...I am still awaiting my arrival in the actual bookstores but Barnes and Noble had some personal issues last month and I am now told perhaps the end of September...Lulu was great for putting the book together and getting you all excited but they do nothing to promote you, even on their own site...I expected it on their own site...and then I found smashwords...they were and are great...they help you with getting your book into proper e-format which is much different than book form, though no one will ever tell you this...smashwords then gets you out there...but again you have to do the promoting...but they get you out there, which is very important...I am on Kindle, Ipad, E-Reader...and online catalogues I have never heard of...I recommend smashwords to everyone...not sure if I would do the same for Lulu...sometimes making things easy just makes them that much harder...

Been four months

Hello again...it has been a while since I last wrote...the children and I have been sucked into a black hole of sorts...I am weeks away from self-publication with Createspace...very excited...like I always say--if you don't believe in yourself, no-one else will--I have re-worked my cover and am sssooooo happy with it...it will be available on Amazon.com as well as any and all book stores which use computers for ordering...so you will be able to go into your local Barnes and Noble and order it there if you do not want to order via Amazon...so excited...as of today 'Where the Sun Sets' has been read in 51 countries...if it wasn't for the internet it may have been read in a 50 mile radius...Love to all...will post again when the book is available for purchase, until then remember you can always read it for free at www.authorannmarie.com

Many weeks of silence...

It has been several weeks since I have heard from anyone with regards to my novel...hundreds of agents still have not replied at all...I however am not daunted...I have self-publishing in mind for spring if nothing positive appeared before then...the need is just to narrow down the choices...on a positive note a friend of mine has succeeded in grabbing his first publishing contract...he has been self-publishing for years now and has six books under his belt...he writes sci-fi and you can find a link to his site via my site @ www.authorannmarie.com ...I am sooooooo happy for him...it is not always easy to be happy for a fellow writer for obtaining a publishing contract...we all say congrats and smile but mostly we all want to know why their stuff gets a contract while ours still sits...but honestly I could not be happier for him and can't wait to see an email from him saying how grand the deal is...BIG GLARING POINT here is...don't stop pushing forward with your dreams....
