Has only been three weeks...

I need to remind myself that it has only been three weeks since I actually sent out the queries...that's right....just about 21 days....and I posted all responses within hours of their arriving in my inbox....so let's just think about the speed with which some of these rejections came in....they say the standard for response is about six weeks at best....some could even take up to six months....while there are plenty which never respond at all....yet within all the rejections there were three or four good positive feeds....so being the positive type I am I have to assume the three or four good positive responses came from those who actually read the queries and went to the website....this pleases me....I have read blogs where there never came one positive....the writing world is a cruel mate but when you love one with all your heart you dare not walk away....it is very difficult to keep writing if you feel no one will read your work....my second piece is already at 50,000 and my third piece is at 25,000 ( that being the reason behind my second only being at 50,000 ) ....I have many readers who have asked me why my second is not finished yet....they wait with such eagerness....I can only apologize and say my mind went in another direction ( without my consent ) and started a third piece on it's own....as a writer I followed along to see where it was headed and well....found myself caught up in the tale....fear not though I have managed to find my way back to the second and will work hard at completing the piece and bringing home all of it's stranded characters....
